5th Degree Black Belt Aiki Ninjutsu/2nd Degree To-Shin Do/1st Degree Aikido
I have been studying and teaching Aiki Ninjutsu for over two decades. My initial interest was to be able to protect myself and my son but have gained so much more over the years. I find the friendships and experiences I’ve gained while focusing on my personal growth and power in the martial arts have been life changing. I’m no longer that quiet, shy girl at the back of the class like I was during my youth. Studying the Ninja and Samurai Arts has resulted in powerful self-defense skills, comfort with weapons of various lengths, and striving to learn more. Training has benefited me not only physically but professionally as well. The skills and lessons I’ve learned on the mat have led to increased confidence, presentation skills and leadership ability at work
What I love about training here is that everyone is equal in our dojo which is why this martial art is so powerful for women; egos are checked at the door allowing everyone to explore their capabilities. Teaching Warrior Women classes is especially meaningful for me; being able to show women the innate power that they have and to take control of the fear of the unknown is an incredible honor.
Our Ninja Rangers classes are a blast to teach! Our 4-7 year old students are so inquisitive and eager to learn. I love to watch their confidence, courage, coordination and self-control grow.
When I’m not at the dojo, I enjoy hiking and traveling with friends and family.
